Cristin Montalbano, Ph.D.

Director of Evaluation and Research

Cristin Montalbano, Ph.D., is a director of evaluation and research for NJCIE. Cristin began her career as a special education teacher in New York City and received her Master’s in Special Education from CUNY Hunter College. After six years of teaching, Cristin pursued training at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she received her Ph.D. in School Psychology. Cristin is trained in both school- and clinic-based assessments and interventions for students with various neurodevelopmental, psychological, and medical needs. Cristin is committed to researching, implementing, and supporting the use of evidence-based practices with schools, families, and communities.
