Amara is an Inclusion Facilitator for NJCIE. She earned her B.S. in Animal Science from Cornell University, and later her M.Ed. in Special Education and Elementary Education from Lesley University. She then earned her Certificate in Administration and Supervision from Loyola University. She has over 10 years of experience in working with students in K-12 with emotional, behavioral and social disabilities. Her areas of expertise are Title 1 schools, response to interventions, mindfulness training, and trauma-informed practices.
